Good day to you internet! I will be honest with you here in saying that I am not really a big fan of all this 3D technology that we are being bombarded with lately. From all the 3D movies to the newest TV’s having third dimension capabilities and now it appears that tech companies are ready to push the 3D market even farther in our society. 3D cameras are coming and we are what is probably the beginning of a brand new era in picture taking technology.

Our family loves to take pictures and like most families now a days we take our pictures with a digital camera. Of course with the ease of digital cameras we now take a lot more pictures and since we no longer have to print all our pictures we do like everyone else and we put them onto our hard drive on our home computer. Do you find that over time that all these photos on your computer are becoming a storage issue? Running out of space on your hard drive because of picture files?

Howstuffworks.com contains an article by Gurevich, Karim, and Wilson that greatly simplifies an explanation of how digital cameras work. Very simply, they explain that CDs, mp3’s, and DVDs all share the same technology: they convert traditional analog “wave” data into digital data based upon “bits.” In so doing, this radical shift in technology has changed greatly – and forever – how we do things and what has become possible including digital “filmless” cameras. Digital Cameras Are Almost 18 Years Old
Compact digital cameras have come a long way in the past 12 years. Why am i looking back twelve years you may ask well because it is twelve years ago this year that Canon one of the camera company godfathers of camera industry started their manufacturing of compact digital cameras back in 1996.
That really is not all that long ago but oh my how far the comapct digital camera has come in such a short period of time. In that short period of time Canon has managed to reach a selling milestone by shipping their 100 millionth comapct digital camera. That is quite a milestone to achieve in only 12 years.
