Digital Photo Frames Go Wi-Fi And Much Much More

in: digital

The power of the digital market continues to evolve in some fascinating ways as the photo frames continue to expand the reach of digital cameras with the fast growing popularity of digital photo frames. Digital photo frames are being offered by almost all major camera manufacturers as a way to extend the appeal of their camera products appeal. Many digital photo frames offer you a way to instantly download your photos directly from your camera.

Here are some of the more standard features that come with your basic digital photo frames. Programmable times for easy viewing and power saving features. Easy connect with a USB cable directly to your camera or a memory card. The ability to not only view your photos but also listen to your MP3’s as well as most of the digital photo frames on the market now come with speakers as well. The price range for most digital photo frames falls some where in the range of $60 to $400 dollars depending on the type of bells and whitsles you want to have on your digital photo frame.

There has recently been a lot of news on some technological advances for the digital photo frame as companies like Sony, Kodak, Samsung and RMI have all announced uprgrades to their lineups for the upcoming holiday season. Capabilities like wi-fi and bluetooth compatibility to work with your phones not just your cameras anymore. Streaming live content from sites like Youtube as well as online photo sharing sites like Flickr or Photobucket. Some are pushing it as far as giving you access to social web2.0 sites along with widget ready content like your weather, sports and news. Honestly when you read about some of the features that are already available and what they are pushing to add they are becoming their own little media outlet.

Why not just combine them all and get it over with already. Computers, TV, Radio, Music, Movies, Games and Pictures lets just put them all into one “picture frame” and be done with it already. Don’t you think that’s where all this technology is headed anyway? What do you think of the combining of these features the way companies are doing? Please share your opinions and thanks for reading.
